Isolation Booth

Recording is done in a 1m square meter soundproof isolation booth developed by Miyaji Gakki. The material absorbs all sound, preventing unwanted reflections, allowing for a pure recording of the sound source.
The booth is 2 meters high with plenty of space for a mic stand, guitar, amplifier, cab, and silent HEPA air purifier.

Warm sound with analog hardware

Recording with analog hardware nourishes your signal with pleasing harmonic saturation from the circuitry, tubes, and transformers. It is a sound that cannot be replicated with software. At Goodman Recordings, it is most important to capture the sound quality that merits your satisfaction. I personally guarantee you will be happy with your recordings in our studio isolation booth.

Drums

There are 2 ways to record drums. A novel way is to use the Freedrum 2 midi controller connected to high-end studio software such as Superior Drummer 3. Freedrum 2 consists of 2 maple drum sticks with built in position sensors that transform your natural drum movements into midi. We can also use more conventional midi controllers.

The second way is to record drums in the sound absorption booth. However, due to that the booth is 1 sq meter, we can only record a few pieces of the kit at a time and must use several overdubs. Still, anything recorded in this booth sounds amazing.
